A BEAUTIFUL MIND

AUTISM WITH FLOWERS

This week we talk about AUTISM, a developmental disorder of the nervous system that manifests itself in the first three years of life.

Mrs Camilla Vidoli, flower-therapist, was able to help two children suffering from this discomfort, through the recruitment of Bach Flowers, found support and have developed great improvements in socialization and acceptance of reality, resulting in comfort, even by parents.
Here she took very kindly tell us about the evolution of hers cases:

"For some years I deal with flower essence therapy, initially as an amateur, then professional and I had the honor to cross my path two children with autism.

First, it should be noted that the word autism refers to a series of symptoms are many and different levels of severity, the common denominator is the lack of contact and communicative relationship with their own reality and therefore the inability to establish ties.

Autism occurs at birth or in most cases during the first three years of life, a period in which the child due to steady relationship with his mother unable to access the keys to decoding of reality, which means that if, during that important period of the report is not available, in the future will live in a world that does not include, which fails to come into contact empathetic and that therefore cause much anxiety.

The result of the flower therapy in the two cases I followed, although it is very different situations with each other, was positive.

In the case of SARAH, I worked with her since she was less than three years, so I could act quickly on its folding/detachment from reality, and this has enabled it to recover the relationship with his mother and therefore, albeit at a slow pace and passing through periods of high anxiety, most of the common code base.

Remain in her features attributable to the disease, but has achieved a good degree of self-sufficiency even at the cognitive level.
It must be said that the mother began almost simultaneously with the girl a job flowertherapy on itself and this has affected a lot, in my opinion, especially in transmitting the child safely without being a burden, but someone to accompany her with affection in the path of growth.

At the age of ten years GEORGE has used the flowers for several months experimenting with their power.
At the time he spoke only a little over a year with keywords and he was for most of the time very anxious and repetitive.

Flower therapy has added the work of speech therapists working in rehabilitation on anxiety that prevented him from accepting any new situation, unforeseen or unknown, and the ability to communicate.

The results were good: his ability to remain calm in situations that are always new and different is greatly increased and also has improved significantly the ability to express himself verbally in a proper and understandable.
Though none of the family has taken on a specific self job, they has been very present in the recovery process of the boy.

What are the flowers have helped these children to open a window to peek into the complex and difficult world around them, and to give them the courage to agree to jump into it without too much fear?

The flowers have always been to me not selected on the basis of a symptomatic criterion, but closely watching to see what person I had before who was his peculiar way of interpreting the world, such issues were being experienced in a distorted way to represent an obstacle in the evolutionary process.

CLEMATIS helped Sarah, at the beginning of the path, and to root out of its cocoon, as CHERRY PLUM and AGRIMONY allowed her to relax in all cases in which the crisis of anxiety for the failure to face reality.
WHITE CHESTNUT and Walnut have allowed, at all times during the crises of anxiety, of not succumbing to repetition.
ASPEN also has assisted in many cases in which her fear of the world had the upper hand.

The theory of mind, or the inability of theoretical-symbolic representation of the child leading to inability to be creative, is one of the things that I was more involved, especially since the conquest of the theory of mind is the capacity to communicate with the reality and simultaneously inform themselves in reality.

Basically, it included the ability to think in the real world by ceasing to feel alien or isolated, which means the answer to the most dysfunctional aspects of this disease.

I've been thinking a lot about this issue and in practice I realized that when the more superficial problems begin to fade or resolved and the child begins to accept the flow of love that comes from people who take care of him, and maybe start shyly and subject to show his affection, he also begins to rise to the ability to think and find their own solutions.

Considerable help in the acquisition of the ability to communicate with its reality of course is given by COSMO, Essence of repertoire Californian.
With Sarah were very helpful also SCLERANTHUS, to foster cooperation between the two hemispheres of the brain and not the exclusion of one at the expense of others, and HEATHER at times when she tried desperately to be heard as her more famous, that of weeping and whim, and I have always considered this attitude is a way to show us his effort opening.
Even if ineffective, it is still an attempt.

With George from the beginning I used some of the flowers with Sarah already used to dissolve the state of fear and anxiety respond well to the vibrations of ASPEN, CHERRY PLUM and SCLERATHUS.
Very soon he showed his personal mode of show the world what frightened him and his refusal to accept certain realities had emerged by allergies and asthma that skin type.

In this case the flowers were used as appropriate BEECH, the flower of intolerance, CRAB APPLE, the flower of purification and protective formula of California YARROW ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTION.

Restored a partial equilibrium, another theme emerged strongly was that of the need to have an exclusive relationship with the mother resulting in difficulty in reducing its symbiotic relationship with her, where the remedy has acted CHICORY, which allows you to let go.

I noticed that sometimes the flowers have not had a direct change, but these kids have created around the ideal conditions that could be hoped for change

This mechanism is in perfect accord with the teachings of Dr. Bach, who tells us that the essence floral not dissolve the issues that confront us without our active intervention, but rather help us to confront them until we find within ourselves the ability to integrate, or better "to develop the virtue opposite to the defect that afflicts us".
